Although the Milton Public Library has a long history in the community having been founded in 1855, its Main Library location has moved several times. In 1974, a prize winning new library building opened at 45 Bruce Street. In 2011, the Main Library opened in a new and larger facility within the Milton Centre for the Arts @ 1010 Main Street East.
