Children's Librarian of the Year!

Janis Marshall, Children's Librarian

We are delighted to announce that our own Janis Marshall has been recognized as Children's Librarian of the Year by the Ontario Library Association.

Janis has worked at MPL with energy, creativity, dedication, and insight since 1990. In addition to developing high quality programs and collections for children and youth, Janis has also trained and coached countless staff to work effectively in these areas. She is a strong children's advocate and reaches out to many community agencies, including the Milton Children's Book Festival. Janis, we congratulate you and thank you for making a difference to our community.

The award will be presented at the upcoming OLA Superconference in late February.
