We are excited to be well into the planning stages for the launch of curbside collection in early June and will be providing more details on our new service once they are finalised.

In the meantime, we want to keep you abreast of all updates as soon as they happen.

As such, we are delighted to announce that we will be reopening our book drop at Main library on a rotating schedule beginning Saturday, 23rd May.

The book drop at Main library will be:

1.     Open from 10am on Saturday, 23rd May to 10am on Monday, 25th May.

2.     Closed all day on Monday, 25th May and Tuesday, 26th May.

3.     Re-open at 10am on Wednesday, 27th May.

Doing so will ensure that all returned items are properly quarantined and sanitised before being returned to MPL’s collection and being made available for holds request.

Moving forward, the rotating schedule for the opening and closing of the Main library book drop will be:

Open: Wednesdays at 10am – Mondays at 10am

Closed: Mondays and Tuesdays

Please note that only the book drop at Main Library will be open. The book drops at Sherwood branch and Beaty branch remain closed at this time.
Please note: MPL items left outside of any MPL branch will be deemed “lost items” and will be charged a replacement fee equal to the cover price plus a $5 processing fee.

Thank you for taking good care of your borrowed items. Please return them as soon as you possibly can, beginning Saturday, 23rd May.

All Milton Public Library (MPL) branches remain closed until further notice. Online access to the library's e-resources remains accessible. If you do not yet have a Milton Public Library card, please click here to sign up for an e-card and get instant access to all of MPL's electronic resources and e-books.

Material Returns:  All loan periods will be extended for the duration of the closure.

Holds: All holds are unavailable for pick-up during the closure period, but the pick-up period will be extended until after we reopen.

Expired Cards: All cards will automatically be renewed for the period of the closure.

Fines: Fines incurred during the closure period will be waived. All previous fines can be paid online under My Account
