Read for the Love of It - Launch Party

Come celebrate the launch of the TD Summer Reading Club with activities, contests and so much more! At Main Library, special guests include Anna and Elsa and a Care of Magical Creatures workshop with the experts from Little Ray's Reptile Zoo. Visit the Beaty Branch to share high-fives with special guest, Dog Man, and show us your superhero spirit!

Reading Rocks

This summer, MPL will be launching a new initiative that will have kids all over Milton on the hunt for "Reading Rocks".  From July 3-August 24 hundreds of rocks will be hidden around Milton, each donning a book character, waiting for children to find them and return them to the Main Library for prizes and/or ballots!

Where to Find them

These are some of the places where reading rocks will be hiding:

Around any Town of Milton facilities (including Libraries, Sports Centre, Leisure Centre,)

In Parks:

Read & Ride Program

Join Mayor Krantz and Library staff at Main Library on June 23 at 1pm to launch the 10th year of Read & Ride.

Milton students 16 years of age and younger are encouraged to travel to the Library, using environmentally friendly Milton Transit, for summer reading programs and materials. 

Children and teens, 16 years and younger, ride free from July 3 to September 1 when they show their own Milton Public Library card with a Read & Ride sticker* on it.  
*Stickers will be available late June at either Main Library or Beaty Branch.
