Nimona by Noelle Stevenson

Recommended by Aaliya.

"Action! Adventure! Possibly Tears! Complete with a great story AND great art, Nimona is a fun read for all teens, especially those who enjoy fantasy."

Wonder by R. J. Palacio

Recommended by Vathmie.

"An incredibly moving novel about the life of a young boy named Auggie. It was very insightful to read about how Auggie, as well as his friends and family, dealt with challenges like bullying, making friends, and self-acceptance. I particularly liked that each chapter presented the perspective of a different character in the story. Wonder is a story that will make you laugh and cry as you explore the life of Auggie and his family."

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo

Recommended by Safia.

"This book follows Edward, a vain rabbit, who is swept away from his life of luxury. As he completes his journey throughout the book, he meets many new people, each of which leave a lasting impression on him as he learns that luxury is not everything. Audiences of all ages will laugh and cry while reading this one-of-a-kind book."

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell

Recommended by Grace.

"One of my favourite books of all time! I finished it in a day, within a matter of hours actually, as I literally could not put it down (no joke). It's more than your average boy-meets-girl YA novel; Rainbow Rowell's unique story lines and characters manage to defy all the stereotypes you'd expect for a teen romance. Read, read, read it! You'll be happy that you did."

Dear George Clooney, Please Marry My Mom by Susin Nielsen

Recommended by Arshiya.

"I believe this book is really well written. It's about a girl named Violet who helps her Mom to find a husband after many disastrous relationships. Violet uses clever ways to help her Mom meet George Clooney, and it makes the book very amusing, funny, exciting, thrilling, and suspenseful. When I read it, I couldn't put it down, so I really recommend this book to anyone who wants a fun and engaging novel."

Shooter by Caroline Pignat

"I enjoyed reading this book because it revolves around the perspectives of different characters who each have unique personality and different background story. The story is very suspenseful as each chapter unfolds new mysteries, insight, and intrigue. I enjoyed the concept of having a new chapter based off of different characters, and got to learn their thoughts and feelings on the situation. I loved how the characters shared their experiences with one another, as they tried to help each other get through a scary situation."

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan

Recommended by Mustafa.

"The first book in a series by Rick Riordan. It's a continuation of the first series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, with new faces joining the old characters fans adored. A great read for sure!"

Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

Recommended by Arvin.

"The perfect series with in-depth plots and characters that you can really connect to emotionally. The plot is engaging and you'll constantly be on the edge of your seat."

Oblivion by Sasha Dawn

Recommended by Saadat.

"This book is about a girl who has had a troubled past, and because of the trauma she's experienced, has forgotten most of it. She has an urge to write poems which help her to remember. It is one of my all-time favourite books because each of her poems reveals another clue to helping her solve the mystery of who she was."

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Series by Douglas Adams

Recommended by Holly.

"One of my favourite series, ever since I first read it! It never gets old and is full of irony, and other forms of humour. But behind the jokes, it looks into more controversial aspects of society, culture, and religion that force you to question humans' place in the universe."
